HOW TO USE ZOOM

ATTENDING BOARD MEETINGS REMOTELY via TRADITIONAL PHONE / LANDLINE

Joining via a phone is a great alternative if you do not have speakers on your PC/Mac, you do not have a smartphone (iOS or Android), you are on the road, or you cannot connect to a network for video and VoIP/computer audio.

Again, please be aware that the meeting experience will be limited if you call using a landline--you will be unable to see the meeting, and unable to utilize the Chat function, thereby being unable to send questions, suggestions or comments.

1: REGISTER FOR THE MEETING

Even if you plan to join a meeting with just a landline, you can't attend if you don't register, and registering does take either a computer or a smartphone to accomplish (just as viewing this web page takes a computer or smartphone!).

To register to attend a meeting electronically, click the “REGISTER” link found in the pinned “Board Meeting” notification on the News tab of the website. Alternatively, you may have received an email invitation, in which case you will click the link supplied in it.

Once you’ve clicked to register the meeting, you must fill out and submit the registration. You will be screened for approval (to make sure you’re a member!) and will be either approved or denied admission—please note this may take up to a week, depending on scheduling and how many registrants there are.

Once staff have approved your submission, you will receive a notification informing you of your approval, which provides you with the information on how to call into the meeting.

2: JOIN THE MEETING

1. Dial an in-country number. If you dial a toll number, your carrier rates will apply. You can find the numbers on your meeting invitation, or a full list of international dial-in numbers HERE. Two numbers you may use, if you're calling from the United States, are:

+1 669-900-6833
+1 929-205-6099

If you're having trouble dialing the first number, try dialing the above numbers without the +. (I.e., try calling either just 1 669-900-6833 or just 1 929-205-6099.)

2. You will be prompted to enter the meeting ID - the nine (9) or ten (10) digit ID provided to you by the host, followed by a pound sign (#).

3. If the meeting has not already started, you may be prompted to press the pound sign (#) to wait. If not, you will simply be asked to wait until the Host starts the meeting.

4. You may be prompted to enter your participant ID. Press the pound sign (#) to skip.

To enter your participant ID once you are in the meeting, enter #Participant ID# on your phone.
